This morning I went out and took a few pictures quickly, without a lot of composing or analysis. It was around 7 am, after I had walked the dogs.
I have been intrigued with Kate's photos at
Chronicles of a Country Girl -- she is a good photographer, and has been showing her work with textures.
So, feeling a bit stagnant, I thought I'd try applying some textures after I found an online tutorial at
Coffeeshop.
#1 is SOOC converted to jpeg.

# 2 is with a texture applied.

#3 is with texture and PW's soft and faded action.

#4 is with texture and PW's heartland action.
So what did I learn? This is fun, but there's definitely a need for an artist's eye to get these right. I'm not there yet.
#2, with the texture applied is my favoite. I like all of them, actually, but #2 rises to the top by a little bit.
ReplyDeleteThey're all so beautiful! I like #1 & #3 if you HAD to force me to choose!
ReplyDeleteThey are all great, but I like #2 the best because it feels very balanced while still having some sharpness to it.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great!!!
#2 with #1 a close second.
ReplyDeletePractice! Practice! Practice!
#2!
ReplyDeletethey look great, and Fun is the best part, dontcha think?
