Not Feeling It

Hi gang. We've just been through another round of layoffs at work. And while the folks who are let go have the most up hill battle, those of us who are left are reeling also. It's like losing family.

So, I'm showing a bathroom I really like above, because it has nothing to do with layoffs. Or the economy.

It does have beadboard.

Then there's this - isn't the glow warm and inviting?

I've had these photos saved forever, so I've lost the credits.

Thanks for stopping by today. Here's hoping for brighter days ahead.

  1. Oh no...not good news and I can still empathize since I am still looking for a job...it is just awful out there...

BUT, those photos are a wonderful diversion...love the candles in the mason jars...what a great idea.

  2. Oy vey. I hope you're doing okay!!

These photos are beautiful. I always loved the look of white candles in jars. My mom used to group them together on the coffee table at Christmastime and it was always so pretty.

Thanks for The Letter Cottage like! So addicting!

  3. See your point in making a change of thought channels and mood. The bathroom is great and so is the pic of the candles. If I had room I'd save my jars for the same purpose.

  4. I think I could live in that bathroom! Add a few mason jars and candles and it would surely be nirvana!

  5. Your bathroom is very similar to mine. Great minds and all that. It is never easy to see changes, and although I've loved the end of the month...it is also a time to fear...especially if it comes on a Friday. But you know...sometimes the changes mean that there are new chapters to be written. Those who are embarking on a job hunt are having to think outside the box...and may find in retrospect that the layoff was a blessing. Others may be pushed into an entirely different line of work. And those that are left behind are now offered the opportunity to step into new roles and meet new people. Hang in there, Mol. Better days are indeed ahead. :)

  6. I think I would need jets..
    and bubbles
and some serene sound machine, you know the ones that play the sound of the sea?
    yep
    That would work!

  7. I've been lusting after some genuinely hand carved, intricate design solid woods. I'll probably never in this life time get such, but it doesn't hurt to dream.

  8. Sorry about the lay offs. Scott's been off all but 3 weeks this summer. I may be heading back to work myself. Although, believe it or not, nurses are even having a little trouble finding jobs. Hopeful for the future.

Big hugs your way. Oh, and thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy knowing you've stopped for a visit.

I'm coming to Atlanta some time in the future to visit you girls.
