Green

The first fireworks of Spring are fading in my yard, and the predominant color is green.

There's more green than blossom in the planter.

The strawberry bush (heart's a burstin) is loaded with buds. It'll have small, nondescript white flowers before the strawberry appears in late summer.

These are about to burst into white.

And the lavender blossoms sway on silvery sage colored stems.

And, am I the only one who didn't know about the honeysuckle shrub?  This one must be 50 years old because it's a tree.

Til next time.

  1. I love your gardening pictures.
I know honeysuckle. Don't know shrub.
Is that real lavender? Do you harvest it? My sister has several lavender bushes in her garden. I love it when she sends me fresh lavender.
